Most of the adverts appeared between 1923 and 1939 in publications such as Punch, Tatler, Good Housekeeping, Bystander, Strand Magazine, Picture Post and the Sketch . . . to name a few. The range of products was wide; these included headphones, sweets, cars, coats, shoe repair products, razors, shirt studs, bedding and even ladies suspenders! Some of the adverts are reproduced here for your pleasure!!!
