Studdying with Bonzo

Toys & Games

There are several sites dedicated to the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah band, some of which are excellent resources for historical information, lyrics, tour dates etc so I won't be adding to that information at all - but see the links at the bottom of the page for more information. Instead I will only be showing Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band images that include Bonzo!

Several of the albums & CD's have covers that show Bonzo, mostly taken from or adapted from postcards or other artwork by Studdy, adverts for the albums also used Bonzo images occasionally and some of these are shown below.

Check out the Doo Dah Diaries website and keep in touch with Bonzo related events and gigs through David Christie (@DooDahDiaries) and Louise Longson (@BonzoDogsbody) on Twitter & 'Three Bonzos and a Piano' or 'Louise Longson' on Facebook.

The advert for The History of the Bonzos, shown above, appeared in The Melody Maker in 1974.

An early poster of the band, signed in part by Sam Spoons, 'Legs' Larry Smith and the inimitable Vivian Stanshall who also provides a somewhat cryptic dedication!

For those interested The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band have reformed for a series of gigs around the UK. Following the success of the Astoria gig in London at the start of the year more dates are planned at the end of this year. The Astoria concert was recorded and has appeared on a new DVD which is brilliant. The only thing missing is Vivian Stanshall but Stephen Fry and Phil Jupitus give one or two very good renditions in his place. If you want more information on any of this lot please contact me at the usual email address or the good folks at the website
